The Breville Barista Express is an all-in-one espresso machine with a built-in conical burr grinder. It suits beginners who want grinding, dosing and brewing in a single machine. Skip it if you want to upgrade the grinder later, or if counter space is tight.

Baskets
Breville supplies single wall and dual wall baskets. Its instruction book says to use single wall baskets with freshly ground whole beans and dual wall baskets with pre-ground coffee.
Limitations
- The grinder and machine cannot be upgraded separately.
- We have not tested this machine and have not found enough comparable independent testing to rate its grinder consistency, so we do not.
- Whether the current US model is sold as the BES870XL or another variant should be confirmed on the listing.
