How We Research

Every ReviewYard article follows the same research process.

  1. Identify the exact product. We confirm the model name, revision and US availability.
  2. Read primary sources. Specifications, manuals and warranty terms come from the manufacturer.
  3. Weigh independent reporting. We read third-party reviews and owner feedback, and attribute what we cite.
  4. Work out the real cost. We note what else you need, such as a grinder, a tamper or a milk jug.
  5. Write for the buyer. Each article says who the product suits, who should skip it, and what the alternatives are.

What research-based means

Pages labeled Research-Based Review summarize and evaluate published information. They are not hands-on lab tests, and we say so on the page.
